I want to know how a candidate I have never donated to, or volunteered for

and never signed up for anything remotely related to her has gotten her hands on my home address? I don't want her correspondence. I REALLY want to know how she got my address?

She has the intestinal fortitude to ask me for money. I've been told to fuck off, now you're begging me for money. No chance in hell.

by all means send the request back with a well thought out response as to why hell won't be freezing over soon. This helps in two ways because the campaign pays for the return postage (cheap revenge for unwanted mail spam) and it helps to keep the post office functioning.

(As they used to say back in the '60s: when the universe hands you lemons, make lemonade. They said a lot of other things back then. Most of them are best forgotten...)

DNC sends me surveys too, but I never get around to sending them back. I kinda doubt if they want the survey as much as they want the check. And Nixon pulled the rug out from under him by shutting down almost all the war before the election. In November 1972, there were only 16,099 servicemen left in Vietnam (I was one of them)..Nobody got very charged up about it and the peace negotiations were very close to being finalized. Without any traction from an antiwar sentiment, McGovern lost to Nixon 49-2.

Nixon was stuck with a losing had and began the pullouts. He did it very slowly and on his timetable, not the demonstrators time table. He was hoping (slim hope) that Vietnamization would work and that South Vietnam could hold the fort after we left. He was trying to buy time to build up the Vietnamese. You can see that by the size (and location) of the various incremental withdrawals. The antiwar demonstrators were an annoyance and a distraction to Nixon, but never forced his hand. As he said in 1968, he had a plan to get out of Vietnam and he did it.

First: I think she's where she is due to name recognition mainly and a lot of political maneuvering. She came back in with a fool proof winning plan (even if that meant states and super Pacs played dirty tricks and illegal shit).

Second: we have had President Obama. Because he's a Dem, he's gotten away with so much more than a Reoublican ever could... Shoot he passed their health insurance bill. He's used bombs indiscriminently. And he tells us his biggest mistake is Libya (which we all hear is Clinton's baby).

She's bought and sold a hundred ways to Sunday and she's really not all that Democratic... She even comes to social issues or the $15/hr at the last second. Fracking Queen of the world, while we are looking at another record setting temperature year.

We need a leader desperately and she isn't it by far. So do you burn it down and say, F-you Anerica? And be young enough to pick up the pieces after OR do you allow more and more of a oligarchy to run the country? And allow it because it's a Dem? It's been awful hard to really bring light to complaints of Obama because of his historic presidency and the wing nuts making birthed issues. We will get the same shit all over again with her.

In the 10 plus years I've been here, I've never heard that. That never gets trotted out ever. That isn't going to be done again this election at all.

So the DNC and Hillary have no skin in this game? It's all the Sanders' supporters fault? You should have been here the last midterms. The DNC decided they needed Republican votes and put up a bunch of Republican friendly Democrats for open seats. They all lost. Progressive leftist bills made a great win however.

So guess who's fault it was for none of the Democrats getting elected. The left base, apparently they didn't vote some say. Don't how they could have ever come to that conclusion. I know I like to shoot myself in the foot as often as possible. But wait a minute I did vote and have all my life "D" but that doesn't matter at all does it. Leftists Progressives got the blame.

Could it have possibly been the DNC's fault? Nooooooooooooooooo, never, strike the thought immediately!

The Thirdway have been running the show since before Bill Clinton and now Republicans have both houses of congress.

You're really going to blame the left base for that? Not the DNC cause you know, they're supposed to be running the show.

When'd you sign up 2016? So you know it all huh. You were here the first time Hillary tried this huh. You know all about it.

Had her life ruined when Bill Clinton and Janet Reno signed off on paperwork regarding the med marijuana issue.

Lynnette Shaw was forced out of her chosen profession of managing Med Marijuana clinics, and the end result was that her Social Security funds were stripped away from her Social Security account as well. This has never happened before to any American citizen - not even people who were drug king pins!

Last year, a judge finally absolved Shaw of any claims of the Federal Government against her. But the last few years have been very difficult. With any luck she will not lose her house this week, but saving it will require a miracle.

We worked off massive printouts of registered voters that included name, address, phone number, and PARTY.

A lot of the Bernie people here seem to not understand how party politics actually works. At all. Registration of voters; registering them on time; registering them in the candidate's party so they can vote for the candidate... all such a mystery.

Those records Bernie's staff "accidentally" looked at -- and copied -- were painstakingly amassed over decades of dedicated work by Democrats. Now is the season in which all that info gets used.

that the Clinton campaign itself had amassed through hours and hours of voter contact and outreach, most of it done by volunteers.

I think both candidates had access to the basic VAN and voter lists, but the Clinton campaign had worked to shade that info, who was a strong supporter, who was on the fence and who was strong Sanders, so they knew how to structure their outreach. And the Sanders campaign straight-up stole it. And most of what they stole was VOLUNTEERS time.

Anyone who ever did the work of campaign ID and GOTV would know what a violation that was.

Admen have pretty much taken over the political process, from providing focus groups of morons to vet speeches and oratory style to buying mail lists from corporations they think will target voting blocs they think they can win. Everything we see and hear from most candidates has been packaged by admen and has been for decades.

Don't you remember that whole deal last fall when the Bernie people broke into Hillary's voter database?

The reason that could happen is that they both rent the DNC's database of every Democrat who has EVER donated to ANYONE. In that system, they also kept the additional information they had collected themselves. Bernie's software guy broke into Hillary's proprietary info and looked around.

But that's when we all learned that they both rent and have full access to the basic DNC database containing name and contact info for anyone who has ever donated to, volunteered for, or registered as a member of the Democratic party.
