There was speculation last week about the GOP field being so weak that Romney may get into the race. Today in the Washington Post, Mitt has an editorial entitled Mitt Romney:
The last three paragraphs of this editorial are the type of BS that you would expect if Romney was thinking about getting into the race
Only America can lead this war, and that leadership means being willing to devote whatever resources are required to win even boots on the ground. We have the best-equipped and most dedicated military for good reason. The president must stop trying to placate his political base by saying what he wont do and tell Americans what he will do.
We must do what it takes.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2015/11/15/mitt-romney-obama-must-wage-war-on-the-islamic-state-not-merely-harass-it/ With Jeb! falling apart and the rest of the GOP field of clowns being pitiful, it appears that Mitt Romney may want to jump in.

(5,420 posts)that they are afraid of a trump wIn and are now courting Romney to run. How late can someone jump in? It makes sense 4 him to jump in late and avoid all of the debates and expense.

(1,209 posts)rights including the simple and human necessity of a right to privacy we must give them all our money. The rich don't pay for the wars they create to protect their personally rewarding overseas investments. We must.
It is a return to the feudal system of Ole Europe, when the king wanted more money the peasants were stripped of even their food and the men sent off to kill other men, all so the ruler could expand his personal wealth or protect it from another lord. Once again and in the U.S.A., we are once mere pawns to be stripped of our wealth and basic human rights.
All this talk about social programs for the ordinary folks must be stopped with more war spending, more surrendering of our rights so they can protect us from attacks, yet they have failed.
They have spent a few trillion on this intelligence gathering operation and now want more spending, and even that is not enough they must have bombs and ships and useless jeeps and more spending and more planes and ships to rot in the desert.

(144,919 posts)Mitt was on the Today Show attacking President Obama. Romney denies that he is running but you get a feeling that he is standing by. Romney was asked who was better on ISIS-Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump and he did not say that Trump could handle ISIS. When asked about Trump and Carson, Romney stated that there were two or three people in the GOP field who could get the nomination and win a general election who could deal with ISIS.
Romney dissed Trump and we can expect Trump to get nasty
