Someone somewhere knows something.
Its been twenty two years since my dear friend, Paige Renkoski, vanished from the side of I-96 near Fowlerville, MI, and twenty two years since anyone has seen her. But somebody somewhere knows something.
Not the despicable piece of human filth whose path was on a tragic course with Paiges that day twenty two years ago. Of course he does. Im talking about that other person or people who know what happened but who have kept silent for twenty two years. Id like to ask him/her/them one thing. Is it worth it?
Is keeping this terrible secret worth it? Worth the burden of guilt because Ill bet its there is it? Is it worth knowing of the agony and pain Paiges family and friends have suffered and carried with them ever since May 24, 1990? Is it worth looking over your shoulder, living in constant fear that youre eventually going to be found out?
Because you will be.
You and I both know that the police are closing in. You saw how much time and effort the task force put in last fall. And even though they didnt find anything, you know that they will. If they have to dig up every square inch of Livingston County, they will.
They will not give up. And you know it.
Someone somewhere knows something.
And when that day arrives, when you have been relieved of your secret either voluntarily or involuntarily and you and I are in the same courtroom I want to look you directly in the eye and ask that same question: Was it worth it?
My guess is that answer is no.
Paige is at peace now but we are not and neither are you. Good triumphs evil and love conquers all. We who loved Paige wont stop until we have answers. We both know its not going to be another twenty two years until we do.
Someone somewhere knows something.
And someday soon we will know who.

If I had to live with this every day...well, I just don't know...
