When the 25% difference is given, doesn't that often ignore differences in skill, hours worked, occupation etc.
I know Men on average work more hours a week. As long as both sexes are given equal opportunity to work as many hours as they want, I see nothing wrong with that.
Some occupations pay more, and they are often dangerous. I don't mind if a logger, steel worker, or other dangerous skilled occupations pay more (and happen to be dominated by men).
I'm not saying that there is no difference in pay among men and women in the same workplace doing the same job. I'm sure there is and it needs to be fixed, but I think bringing up the 25% difference is misleading.
