District 8 AZ:, Jesse Kelly (R) versus Ron Barber (D), special election for Gabrielle Giffords seat

Jesse Kelly is a 30 year old ex-Marine who ran against Gabrielle in 2010. His now famous quotes (on Barber's ads, which, I'm sorry I don't have) include stuff about Social Security being a Ponzi scheme, elimination of the minimum wage laws, eradication of Medicare and more than I can recall.
Ron Barber was on the staff of Giffords and was wounded on that horrible day. Now Kelly has ads that say that he is on the side of saving Social Security and because Barber supports 'Obama Care", that he is tearing down the sacred SS system he has always supported. Citizens United paid for the ad,
The recall in Wisconsin is important, but so is this race. Fund Ron Barber. I'm sorry I don't have the link (dial-up).
Defeat Jesse Kelly, a really creepy repub.
Yeah, I live in the area.

If Kelley wins we are truly fucked.

Personally, I think this election is even more important as a bellwether than Wisconsin. If Walker wins Wisconsin, it could be argued that the huge sums he spent saved his ass. If Kelley wins CD-8 it is simply because the majority of the electorate are stupid, ignorant teabags.

voters. I hope not. In one single commercial break, an ad for Barber shows Kelly, calling for the nd of social security, minimum wages and more, and the next ad shows Kelly denying it all. I will cast my vote at the local fire station.
