Huckabee: As President I Will Consider Deploying US Troops Against American Women Who Have Abortions

Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee said at a campaign stop on Thursday that he would consider sending federal troops or the Federal Bureau of Investigation to stop abortions
.
During a campaign stop in Iowa, reporters asked Huckabee about a recent controversy over an anti-choice organization‘s efforts to paint Planned Parenthood as a dubious entity that is selling “aborted baby parts” through the release of several heavily edited videos.

Huckabee said he would “invoke the 5th and 14th amendments for the protection of every human being.” The Fifth Amendment states, “No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger.” This suggests a Hucakbee presidency would unilaterally make all abortion illegally by deeming all fetuses are people.

He repeated a conservative line that there is now scientific proof that “unborn babies are human beings,” and the Supreme Court may not have known that when they ruled on Roe v. Wade in 1973. Many anti-choicers have pointed to a recent study that said a small percentage of 22-week fetuses can survive outside the womb and have used that as justification for earlier and earlier abortion bans.

Welcome to Huckabee's theocracy, ladies, where the Republic of Gilead is your worse nightmare. Right this way for reprogramming at the Women's Center where you will all learn that women are always subservient to men and your only purpose is bearing children... lots and lots of 'em until they day you die.

when he went off the deep end and enlisted sargeant Carter to get his M-16 and follow him to the local abortion clinic and light it up. If he needs the armed military, Huckabee must be having fantasies about extreme, ultimate gun play with rifles and bayonets.

So the book on the Republicans losing in 2008 and 2012 was that their social conservatism was so out of the mainstream. Politicians who prattled on about rape can't create a pregnancy and others who said it's a "gift from God" got roundly defeated. So you'd think they'd moderate their views some.

Then comes this bit of idiocy. I get doubling-down on stupid, but what do they hope to accomplish? Are they just trying to out-clown the next guy in order to get the nomination?

Will he have troops with machine guns and tanks aimed at women as they are walking into Planned Parenthood? May-be have the troops and the FBI in examination rooms to insure no one is terminating a pregnancy? And exam rooms aren't that big, so I guess the gov't will have to supply the money to enlarge them for the army detail that will be monitoring everything that goes on.

Are we gonna stand by and let the GOP take the White House?

The person who stood against was Obama... repeatedly. For every budget, they tried to extort him into signing our rights away.

We need a Democratic POTUS or 'The Handmaiden's Tale' will be an reality by the end of the decade. Any person who doesn't see the writing on the wall is in denial.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1385

Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

It is always a wise idea to familiarize oneself with the laws of the land before pursuing the Chief Executive Office of our government. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, as you might have heard, but it is also a very inconvenient trait to display while claiming to be a man of God while threatening acts of a demon.
