Should it have been 'Black Lives Matter Too'?

I was just wondering since a lot of people don't get it with the original cause...I was one of them. Now I understand but others aren't getting the explanation of it or at least seeking it out. What do you all think?

Some are more important than others.

One has to decide if intent or interpretation are more important. And then be consistent.

As if you're saying oh please we see other people's lives matter please accept the fact that our lives also matter. All that's not necessary Black Lives Matter is just a statement of fact just like gays have Pride it's not to knock other people it's just that you're trying to represent your own.

"Fight Cancer Too. Save Additional Lives."
"Support our Troops Too."

If not, what's the difference between "Black Lives Matter" and those other slogans?

You came to understand it. Others will too.

Diluting the phrase would strip it of any meaning. It would be the equivalent of "all lives matter." Not the message.

That the name and the movement arose from and by the black community. Our role as allies is to be supportive in every sense of the word.
