have the ability to put his winning/losing in the hands of someone else.
In order words he can not pick a VP, same problem that Ross P had.
IMO, the first decision of a candidate will be their most important. I think the other candidate wantabes should get ready for the question.

Along the way to the nomination, he will be well challenged by the other Republicans out there, and even by the mainstream media. If he were to get the nomination (the mind boggles), no matter who our nominee is, that person will (and certainly better) challenge him on all fronts, to be specific about his plans and programs, explain his four corporate bankruptcies. And so on.
Although I agree, he won't make it very far into the primary season, although it could be quite fascinating to watch him spend millions of his own money on an independent run. Heck, I'd be tempted to see if I could get a paid position in that campaign just to get a tiny share of his money.

(23,156 posts)If he stays in the race through the primary season and actually clinches the nomination, I don't see him backing out. His ego is far too great for that. I make absolutely no bets on who he'd pick for VP, other than it would probably be someone as incompetent to be President as he is.
But it's simply difficult to see him hanging in there any length of time.

(22,308 posts)He is unelectable. If he is the nominee we win, easily.
If he loses and gets so upset that he runs as an independent, he should draw enough crazies from northern Florida and southern Ohio to give us both of those critical swing states.
The better he does, the better we do.

(12,799 posts)Trump won't be in the race long enough to pick a VP. I'm certain of it.

Not going to happen.
