and I think most DUers would have agreed
Condoleezza Rice reportedly had a State Department email address that she used for official business, an aide for the former secretary of state says.
Rice never used personal email for State business, an aide said, according to a report Tuesday from The Wall Street Journal. Her successor at Foggy Bottom, Hillary Clinton, exclusively used her personal email account for department correspondence during her time as secretary and ran her own email server from the Clinton familys New York home.

(22,308 posts)If a majority of people trusted her this story would not have legs. The opposite is true on both accounts.

(42,001 posts)No, I would not have made false assumptions toward Condoleeza based on nothing. Show me something real.

(22,308 posts)This was real.
She lied, then she continued lying until indisputable video evidence was presented that proved she was lying. Then she eventually blamed it on not getting enough sleep (while running an ad about a 3:00 am phone call). She now refers to this completely fabricated story as "misspeaking".
Can you see why people don't trust her? Can you see why every B.S. story that the right wing slime machine churns out will have a better chance of sticking simply because her credibility is horribly damaged?
She really is a terrible candidate. Winning only 2 elections in a state where most any well funded (D) would have won is not enough experience for her to go up against what she will face if she wins the nomination.
If she repeats this mistake during the general election we could be looking at a President Walker or Bush. That should terrify everyone.

(5,946 posts)access to it than if it were a private one, actually no e-mails were turned over from that the issue is different not of security but what were they hiding - what kind of politicking were they hiding. I stand by this is not a valid comparison.
What turns me off to politics is the hypocrisy.

(5,946 posts)Hillary kept hers and turned them over, it was actually more secure with her. really.
When are republicans going to go after JEBbie over his home server? His open government never let anyone see his e-mails during Terry Schiavo fiasco or even during the 2000 recount, Now they could have been interesting, Where are the e-mails Jeb?

(5,946 posts)I am not a big Hillary supporter, more of a lefty left person, too much business connections for me, but I still see this as you got more than you could have and what she did was legal, if you don't like it change the law, and they did but not soon enough. What can I say, If you want to prosecute her find her doing something illegal, I really do not want to relive all the Clinton investigations again, Searching to find them breaking an investment law where they lost money? Yet Dick the dick is walking free! and it is considered wrong to accuse him????
Do the Clintons feel they have to keep things close, sure, just look at what they went through I had neighbors that swore to me Bill killed 13 people with his bare hands. I live in a republican time and I Found that a difficult periods with people not understanding the real world but believing all the republican memes were you could not have a sensible conversation with people here, I was on the phone to my mother then a lot, she was the super dem and I miss talking to her. Any7way, I try and keep that perspective and what kind of crime could have been committed. Can't find one. But I completely understand destroying anything to do with the wedding, you should have seen the things I emailed my sister about people coming to the 50th wedding anniv party I threw for my parents,. something s are personal.

(35,383 posts)No, nobody screamed over Colin Powell.
On the other hand, regulations and policy tightened up over time. When policy changes, it's the new one you follow, not the old one.
If you're building a power plant in 2015 you don't say it's all good because it meets 1975 codes and regulations.
How's that going to work when she's elected? "I didn't follow policy, so I'm not going to be a hypocrite and expect my cabinet members to follow policy"? Or "I didn't follow policy, but they'd damned well better"? Or maybe, "I didn't follow policy, but since I'm unbelievably lucky it worked out better than if I did follow policy. So I'm just going to count on luck for my presidency, policy be ... Well, whatever"?
That said, I'm more for HRC than BS. (BBS?)
