In six months, if Trump is still in the race, which will they hate the most?
I don't think they are going to scare the Donald Duck away. Will the RNC try to buy him out of the race? How many tens of millions would it take?
It's going to get interesting.

(111,110 posts)...and that is what scares the Republican establishment to be so afraid of him. He scares the Holy Shit out of them!
But, Donald might drop out of the race if the price is right? The RNC might have to come up with a little money? Maybe they could ask their good friends, the Koch Brothers, to contribute to the "cause"?
Then, the Donald can sit back in his luxurious office in NYC, and brag to all his followers about how he "received" tens of millions of dollars from the Koch Brothers to drop out of the race?
I think this is what we are dealing with.

(65,616 posts)He is treating this entire thing like Celebrity Apprentice! I do not think he will drop out or go 3rd party. However, we all know how short the GOP voters attention span is - I fully expect Foxnews to drop him like a hot potato as we get closer to their primaries.
You simply do not cross the Republican establishment. But Trump knows how to play their game.

(65,616 posts)I think they underestimate him, like they do with everything else in the known world.

(3,433 posts)Tea party members may like him but the establishment GOP hate the tea party and Trump is a tea bagger darling. Right now I think republicans are looking at Trump and seeing their dreams for the WH evaporating. They believe (and rightfully so in my opinion) that he is completely unelectable in the general election.
Hate is a strong word though I will concede that some/many republicans certainly hate President Obama. I see this as a trait of the far right rather than the entirety of republicans. Many will probably disagree with me on that but I do not lump all republicans together on this issue (or any issue really).
Considering the GOP has their sights set on the WH in a year and a half... I'd say Trump is the more hated right now. Definitely.
