This according to an attorney for Sandra Bland's family. There were apparently problems with the first one. This was mentioned in an interview with Sandra Bland's sister and the attorney on Lawrence O'Donnell.
So much wrong in this case.

(32,746 posts)You mean "cover up" busted. If it wasn't for the second one being done, do think they would need a do-over?

(7,820 posts)You put it better than I did. I don't know that's the case, of course, but I think it's likely.

(891 posts)I know in some parts of Missouri they have a coroner which is nothing like a medical examiner. In fact the coroner could be a veterinarian, oh I'm not kidding. This guy died in custody too.
Never did one before, said Jones, a veterinarian who has served as coroner since 2009. Its the first in-custody death in Morgan County that anybody can remember.
The purpose of the inquest is to give an unbiased review of Ellingsons case, Jones said. After hearing evidence, a jury of six people Jones picked last week will rule Ellingsons death a homicide, suicide, accident or natural. A prosecutor then will consider the jurys findings when deciding whether to file charges.
