Who was the guy from Utah that we worried about for awhile in 2008 or 2012 - Jon somebody? Because he was actually serious and rather moderate. If they can find someone the least bit statesmanlike. McCain and Romney were the best they could do before. And McCain couldn't pick a serious running mate.

(7,413 posts)He has survived and stood up to all the backlash in Wisconsin and even a recall election, he's got a track record of beating liberals/unions and winning.
I could see a Walker/Rubio ticket.
The Ohio governor is a wildcard right now as well. I say him, Jeb and Walker are the likely contenders for the nomination right now.
