BREAKING -- Armed local citizens are guarding the Armed Forces Recruiting Center on Belvedere Drive in Gallatin.
The citizens say they are veterans and private citizens taking it upon themselves to protect the center in light of the killings in Chattanooga last week. They say they will be here until a law is passed to allow recruitment centers to be armed.

Gee, what could possibly go wrong?

much less themselves from an armed assailant, in fact I think their presence invites more attacks.

that very few people put in the time and expense and effort to become seriously proficient in handling guns.
Worse of all, very little practice in being alert and focused when they do have to use them.

I have mental picture of some drive by car backfiring near these guys and all hell breaking loose.
