(21,925 posts)I find George Noury and his guests entertaining but I think he might be a bit on the right wing. His guests often slam Obama and promote things like the anti-vaccine movement. The real entertainment is the Ancient Aliens on the History channel. I have a drinking game with myself, trying to anticipate when they will use the term "portal". A "portal" to the beyond seems to explain every weird unexplainable thing. Big Foot uses a "portal" to get from his dimension to this dimension. It's always because of a "portal" and somewhere in the middle of every single show they will eventually get around to using the word "portal". They also love to give every crackpot guy trying to sell a book on the bizarre the veneer of being a "theorist". They're not crackpots, they're ancient alien "theorists". These types of shows are so audcious in their nuttitness that I find them pretty entertaining.

(14,093 posts)Introducing crazy, fictional concepts. A lot of fun for sci-fi types. I highly doubt Art believed 95 percent of what he featured.
The problem was, a lot of people believed it.
I did hear one of the reasons he disowned Noory is because of the rightwing politics, with birther and truther segments replacing the aliens and ghosts. Noory changed it from Ray Stantz to Alex Jones.
