If you had an otherwise well-meaning family member who needed an education...

…on something, would you choose a public format to ambush them with the errors of their ways before you attempted to take them aside privately and try to address the possible issue or error of thinking?

I would consider that pretty a pretty low tactic. Especially, with something you know is not going to be easy for everyone to understand or get right automatically such as the proper use of political language.

It seems to me if the only problem was Bernie Sander's tone, such an issue could be addressed through a private meeting of leaders without threatening to publicly derail or damage an entire campaign.
