Oh, so it's only NOW that Trump has gone too far?

Let's review:

- Trump spreads racist birther lies about our president and claims he's not an American citizen.

- Trump lies repeatedly to the country and claim he has a team of investigators in Hawaii who have "discovered amazing things...things even they do not believe" which he will "reveal shortly."

- Trump never own up to investigators lie when longform is published.

- Trump claims Obama only got into college by lying.

- Trump and Hannity spread tinfoil hat theory that Obama's books were secretly written by Bill Ayers.

And for all of this, Donald was a hero to rightwingers.

Mittens and Ann-toninette made a special trip to Vegas to accept his endorsement and said they were "proud and honored" to stand with him.

The RNC commissioned Trump to to make a video for their convention:

FOX gave him a weekly spot for commentary.

Hacks in the mainstream media, especially the Sunday shows, kept inviting him on the air.

Trump insults hispanics with his campaign launch. Rightwing praises his racism as "straight shooting and truth telling." Mainstream media keeps giving him a pass.

But it's only now, that he insults the sacred beltway cow of John McCain, that we're told he's out of line.

They knew damn well what this guy was about for years. Now they want to run from him because he insults one of their own.

Congratulations, conservatives. You built that. He's yours. You own him.

BTW, isn't it funny how this concern for honoring veterans didn't come from the GOP when the Bush campaign was swift boating John Kerry, and their convention attendees were insulting purple heart recipients with stuff like this?:

Even if I don't like them politically. I'm done doing that with McStupid. He's been a boil on America's ass for too long, I have no goodwill left for the "hero". Slice him up, don't care. Let all these R-clowns jab each others' eyes out, and I'll just enjoy it.

Had he gone after a Democrat with missing limbs and a chest full of medals, he would have been cheered.

This is why he's stepped in it.

When I heard him insult McCain I was irate. All I could think of was, "When did you serve, you rotten coward?" He was born in 1946, so he was of the Viet Nam war generation.

How many deferments did his daddy arrange for him?

Draft deferment. Draft deferment.

I'll have Trump toast for breakfast. Ignoring the question won't make it go away.

the stain of the memory - we have tape - where the GOP embraced Trump's racism in 2012, and did to this day.

The cowards in the media should not get off lightly either for even entertaining the notion that Trump does no represent a very dark side of the GOP.

For people who wanted to be rid of Donald Trump without looking like they were caving to PC police, he has now given them an exit ramp."

What to make of that?

He's fugging up the works royally.

This is their excuse but they need to be called on the swift boating of John Kerry, the racist attacks on President Obama and much more.

What have the republicans done to really help veterans?
