HAHAHAHA!!! El Chapo to Trump: "I'm gonna make you eat your words"

Mexico's billion dollar drugs lord known as 'El Chapo' has gloated on Twitter about his escape from a maximum security jail by taunting authorities and threatening US-presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

Joaquin Guzman, billionaire head of the powerful Sinaloa Cartel, made his jail break on Saturday morning and is on the run from Altiplano jail, 50 miles outside of Mexico City, security officials said.

His audacious escape saw him dash through the mile-long tunnel system, which led to a building under construction next to the prison - from where he collected clothes left for him by his conspirators.

But following his escape he has took to Twitter and used it to hit back at Trump, who has said that the Guzman embodies 'everything that is wrong with Mexico' and added he would 'kick his ass'.

On the account, administered by Guzman's son Ivan, the escapee reportedly wrote: 'If you keep p****** me off I'm going to make you eat your words you f****** blonde milk-s*****'.

i prefer the guardian, the daily mail can be a bit conservative and/or "new york post"-ish at times.

but mostly it's reliable, certainly when it comes to factual reporting.

less tawdry newspaper.

All our MSM have gone tabloid these days, but some are worse than others. DM is a tabloid, but like other tabloids, it does get it right sometimes--as The Enquirer did with the John Edwards affair.

OTOH, "respectable" rags like the NYTimes are quite capable of printing lies and rumors without making any effort to verify their info, as in the recent sensational claims about the Clintons, based on a RWer's hit piece of a book but presented breathlessly as a huge scoop, and then qualified with a whispered "Oops!" much later.

So, as Rachel Maddow says, "Watch this space." Maybe the info will be proven accurate. It sounds plausible enough, but who knows?

It's not an insult in and of itself, but tone could easily make it so, turning it from 'blonde' into 'pale/washed out' or something on those lines. I think it is safe to say that Mr. Guzman wasn't paying "The Donald" a compliment.

For those who have some familiarity with the language, here's the bleep-free untranslated commentary--rough language ahead, fair warning:

Sigue chingando y voy hacer que te tragues todas tus putas palabras pinche guero cagaleche @realDonaldTrump

One thing I'll say for that drug dealer, he sure knows how to string some invective together in 140 characters or less!

I'm almost thinking that Trump helped dig the tunnel for the escape. Timing is everything and Trump is 'Don King' like in promoting. And Trump has the hair thing going just like Don King. Yeah - I know Don King was a boxing promoter - but - Trump v El Chapo sounds more like a wrestling match.

I can understand the other meaning, though--it's just that when I am using Spanish, that kind of language does not come up in ordinary conversation; also, I'm not up on the latest slang (aside from the fact that my linguistic roots are in Spain as opposed to Mexico--though I like Mexican Spanish--it's very clear to my ear).

The "caganer" (shitter) word/concept is common in Spain (and in Napoli, Italia) as well--they put a shitter in every Christmas manger scene, often they're famous people (I always wanted a George Bush one): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caganer

Especially when they come from Cartels. They are brutal and do have resources to carry out their threats. Having them involved in our political process and threatening candidates who speak about them is very well a danger to our democracy. If our elected officials or those running for office start getting intimidated it could have effects down the line on policy and governance.

El Chapo merely said he was going to make Mr. T Rump eat his words, which is not an actual death threat. In Elonis v. United States, just decided this last session, online threats aren't really threats:

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/02/us/supreme-court-rules-in-anthony-elonis-online-threats-case.html?_r=0
