Why was the Confederate Flag created and for what purpose?
The American Flag is the flag that represents the USA. It was not created to represent the USA wiping out the Native Americans. It was created to represent the USA successfully breaking off from the British government and forming a country that still exists today.
The Confederate Flag is the flag that represents the Confederacy. A traitorous, failed attempt to succeed from the USA in order to preserve the industry of slavery.
Now, there are plenty of horrible things that have been done in the history (and present) of the USA. And people can, rightfully, be offended by any and all of them. However, unless you are a member of British royalty, the flag doesn't represent any action against you. Just like the German flag is not a symbol of Hitler and the Nazis. A Nazi flag/symbol would be.
This is really not complicated.
If the American Revolution had failed and we were still a member of the British government, we wouldn't be flying the American flag.

(23,156 posts)that the United States did NOT come into being simply to kill off native Americans. It had already been going on a long time before this country came into existence, and yes the United States did more than its share of killing off the indigenous peoples, but that was not the only, or even the main reason this country was founded.
The question shows a profound ignorance of the actual history of this country.
