(25,704 posts)However, nyse is not a very important exchange anymore. A buddy was part of the team that bought it in 2013? In essence, they were forced to buy it to buy the all- electronic exchanges they really wanted.

(115,926 posts)Apparently a problem with a connection relating to gate availability. This sort of thing happens sometimes. I used to work for an airline; one morning a bunch of flights were canceled because the computer that processed weight and balance information went down. It was a huge inconvenience for a couple of hours but it was completely unrelated to the stock exchange or the NSA or my Windows having a virus (!).

(36,487 posts)Fortunately, I was able to log back in on 'FBI SURVEILLANCE VAN', the idiots left it password unprotected. Odd, now there's a man wearing dark glasses and a trench coat lurking in the bushes outside.
