Ted Cruz defends Donald Trump over controversial immigration comments about drug dealers and rapists

http://www.sfgate.com/news/houston-texas/texas/article/Ted-Cruz-defends-Donald-Trump-over-controversial-6360648.php

Major corporations are dumping partnerships with Donald Trump over his allegation that Mexico is sending drug dealers and rapists to the United States—but Texas' Ted Cruz is standing up for the controversial real estate tycoon.

Trump's comments came during his June 16 kick-off speech for his presidential campaign. Soon after, Univision canceled agreements to broadcast Trump's Miss Universe pageant. NBCUniversal dumped Trump en suit, followed by Mexican media group Televisa. Today, retailer Macy's announced a purging of Trump products, prompted by the comments about immigrants....

On a Tuesday broadcast of Fox and Friends, Cruz, U.S. Senator and presidential hopeful, spoke out against the Trump-dumping.

"When it comes to Donald Trump, I like Donald Trump," Cruz said. "I think he's brash I think he speaks the truth, and I think NBC is engaging in political correctness that is silly and that is wrong."

But, but, but isn't he an immigrant himself?

They have to stand with him, even though the party is nervous. It's gonna get really crazy before it's over.

If you aren't in the top 10 of the polls they are using you don't get invited and right now crossing Trump can get you bounced.

"You agree with Trump that immigrants are rapists and drug dealers?", right? Oh wait, we are talking about an American news outlet- they don't ask questions.

They spent all this time talking about capturing a larger percentage of the Latino vote. They have a leading candidate with a Latino wife and two Latino candidates. Then Trump comes out of no where in the polls and keeps saying the most explosive racist things. The Repubs are too timid to stand up to him, which makes them look like bigots.

I don't think the government of Mexico has an actual policy to relocate their people. Smugglers (Mexican and American) and businesses in America that profit from illegal low paid workers support this migration. You could more accurately say that American business interests are bringing them in.
