Many states were getting credit for things that they had no part in creating. My state (Louisiana) accomplished nothing except being located on a big river. We didn't put the river here.

I don't believe in bragging on things that were caused by nature. If you're going to brag, brag about something you actually accomplished. If a state has the cleanest teeth, somebody did something right.

My apologies.

Back on topic: That's not even an accomplishment! Louisiana beats CT.

I think they got that wrong. Everyone knows Ozark spelled backward is Krazo.

Psst, a fair portion of that state can be reached only by air, unless you're planning on using dog sled, snowmobile and those only work in winter or walking in. If you're living in a small town or village in the bush, an airport is absolutely necessary, especially in case of an emergency.

I wasn't aware of that. Lowest funding for public transit? That one, everybody knows. How did these two not exclude each other?

Edit - No doubt due to the large amount of hydro power..

Courtesy Flush made a good point early in this thread. If you discount nature "accomplishments" that a state has nothing to do with, then add related "accomplishments" (like 'most wind power' in Texas, mainly because of the size & climate), you only get about 10 states with real accomplishments. Colorado is an example.

it allows more places for our record amounts of sewer overflow to find.

Thanks for the thread, G_j.
