I read that he got $1,000,000 in campaign contributions in the hour and a half after his statement. If that's true, I feel very optimistic!

(11,370 posts)2. I was actually surprised by how enthusiastic my friends are about this.
I can't remember anything else Obama has done (even getting bin Laden) that got this level of joy in response. It's amazing how the man is able to move forward despite the best efforts of the radical right to undermine both him and our country (and its citizens). Hate will not win. Not this time.
