Next step: Repeal DOMA!

That's not happening with the current Congress. So, to get that done, as a step toward full recognition by the Federal government of marriage equality, we must elect a Congress that will sent that repeal to President Obama. Once again, the 2012 election is not just about re-electing a President. There is much more to it than that. We must elect a Congress that will support progressive ideas and send bills to the President, and we must elect as many Democratic-controlled state legislatures as possible.

How? Get out the Democratic vote! Start registering new voters now. Get every Democrat you can find to show up in November and vote. Overwhelm the Republican Party with enthusiasm.

The next Congress can have a different makeup. We can make it happen. That is all.

We need either one of two things.

1) An amendment saying that anti-gay marriage amendments are unconstitutional (not likely to happen).

or

2) Supreme Court striking it all down.

The jurisprudence is such that I doubt even Scalia could get around it.

enable marriage equality, the harder it is not to make Full Faith and Credit a reality. This battle isn't over, but it will be.
