a pocket knife that you NEVER removed from your pocket or threatened anyone with become worthy of a death sentence?
This makes my head want to explode.

(68,918 posts)My husband carried a knife every day of his life (boy do I miss that when packages arrive in the mail--can't let our son have one yet), and somehow, it never caused him any trouble... let alone a death sentence.
It's horrifying what is going on here.

(32,852 posts)Show whining about how all the cops in Maryland are afraid to arrest anyone because they arrested mr gray in good faith. I mean what the hell. Did they kill him in good faith too? These assholes don't know about fear. Fear is wondering if you will survive a. Encounter with police because it is illegal to walk, drive, make eye contact, run, or cuss while black among a thousand other things. I'm just aghast after listening to that segment.

Take a look at how an idiotic law (ripe for abuse), sends thousands into the the legal system.

(7,234 posts)I'll give you an example:
They'll do a raid, shoot some unarmed guy downstairs, search the house, find a loaded gun hidden in a bed upstairs then tell that media something like "During the process of serving a search an officer involved shooting occurred, Officers did recover a loaded handgun." then they'll talk about the victim's background "He had multiple arrests for something or other".
This is classic psyop/misdirection that's why you should never ever believe a story that says they "found a gun nearby" or "recovered a weapon" but never explain where it was or if it was in possession of the person they shot.
Its all about getting a narrative out and smearing the victim so the story can die down.

(32,852 posts)or threatening anyone with doesn't merit the death penalty.
Many police are liars. I basically don't believe anything they say. Bad cops are the rule not the exception.
I'm glad the Baltimore police are scared. Now they know how people feel. These murdering and abusive cops need to spend a very long time in prison.

(39,215 posts)by a cop if your "crime" is some little thing everyone does than if you rob a bank. Jaywalking, selling cigs out of your own pack, looking at a toy gun in Walmart, making eye contact with a policeman, playing with a gun in a park, driving a car with a broken tail light, etc.
This is worse than a police state. I is just plain insane.
