I don't even like it when there are Democrats who serve that long.
There is plenty of talent out there ... no one is indispensable.
Lugar was arrogant to ask for another term, especially at his age.

but he was elected in 1974 to the Senate. He's been there almost 40 years. He's up for election again in November and I'll vote for him, but I wish he'd bowed out.
