The Medicare program was not and still the GOP would like to end it and Social Security but it benefits lots of people. FDR holds the Social Security in his legacy and LBJ holds the Medicare in his legacy. I think the ACA will continue to be Obama's legacy. There will be some tweaking but too many have benefitted and even the GOP has even halted their repeal.

No - the last gasp of white supremacy in the US.

I'm not talking about people on the Left - I'm not talking about US!

Those people over there on the right?

Been foaming at their mouths for 45 years now. This is their last stand. They are gonna lose. Because my 21 year old niece is the 'new' America - black, white/native father - puerto rican/dominican mother.

That's the new America - and they HAAAAAAAATE it. They created the divide - not Obama. If they weren't so filled with hate and misery about times that need to be soon forgotten well . . .

Even if the ACA is convoluted and hard to deal with, it has improved coverage on health insurance quite a bit.
That to me is significant.

In regards to the Supreme Court, he was able to place in Sonya Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, who I am alright with, they balance out the ones that Bush put in, who really hurts, which would be Roberts and Alito.
I can not stress how important it is to have another Democratic President as there are Justices that are approaching retirement.

All in all, I think he could have done better, and I completely don't like his stance on Education, at least from K-12. His position on Universities/College education can be commendable, and I thought was proper.

So, I don't really know how History would judge him. It really depends on who is on power and who has the control of media throughout the coming decades.

I will probably get hidden for saying that, but it is the truth. Just look at his journal, it is filled with right-wing crap. How he has survived so long on this site I don't know, he is one of the most obvious trolls here and I don't care if I get hidden for saying so.

the first black man to be elected president, rescued the United States from the greatest economic downturn since The Great Depression, set a path that will lead very American to have access to health care, and presided over a prudent foreign policy.

I think the Obama Administration has done some good work in the realm of foreign policy. I strongly disagree with his promotion of trickle down economics, and think he's actively worked to advance the interests of the 1% at the expense of the 99%, but on the issue of Iran, I agree with him.
