Thanks to rich folks and their sycophants (both D and R and no affiliation), the people themselves have no way to extricate ourselves. There's no place to run, and no discernible way to stop them -- they don't even live here. They can't be shot or hanged or guillotined, they can't be bankrupted. Now what?
