Uber driver being subjected to xenophobic rant after getting pulled over by apparent NYPD cop

POS is dangerously out of control.

(NSFW... language)

The NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau is investigating a video that shows an Uber driver being pulled over in the West Village on Monday and subjected to a xenophobic rant by a man who appears to be a plainclothes cop.

The driver filed a complaint with police, which prompted the NYPD to assign the case to the Internal Affairs Bureau. But the driver was not given a summons, according to Uber, and police said investigators are working to determine whether the driver was pulled over by a plainclothes officer from the department or an outside law enforcement agency.

"I don't know where you're coming from, where you think you're appropriate in doing that; that's not the way it works. How long have you been in this country?"the man, who is white, hollered at the driver after pulling him over in an unmarked car with flashing lights, according to video of the encounter.

Moments before slamming the car door and storming away, the hot-headed man shouted at the driver: "I don't know what f---ing planet you're on right now!"

where people treat each other with courtesy and respect? You must be new to this country, buddy!!

No, but seriously. What the fuck was all that about. Also may I'd like to ask Mr. Rageaholic over there, if this guy is so unimportant as he claims. Why stand there acting like a coked up lunatic going on and on and on.....?

That guy doesn't belong on the street. They should put him on guard duty at Fish Kill where maybe he won't have to interact with people.

Lots of folks must be watching that video, it doesn't seem to want to stream. Maybe I'll remember to watch it later.

Red lights in some states, blue in others, some require a siren before there is obligation to pull over.

However, no matter what state if you feel uncomfortable when an unmarked car attempts to stop you do the following- put on a turn signal or flashers and go within the speed limit to a populated/well lit area before stopping, and/or dial 911 and ask that they verify it is a legitimate officer behind you.

There are cases every week of blue light bandits buying lights and using them to pull people over. Some just want to play cop, some are thieves, some are sexual predators.

reason some of this shit is coming out and getting acted on. Same as surveillance cameras. I used to think it was Big Brother from the book 1984, but now I think it's pretty great. Helps to catch criminals, film the idiots, etc.
