Is not anyrhing re the GOP made non story "Benghaaaaziiii"....or any other RW rumors ALL Dems, Clinton supporter or not, know it is total bullshit.
The real problem, is that as the same time the mails story occured, othzr storues emerged re. Clinton foundation' s funding from foreign governments.
And yes we legitimately can wonder whenwhever how far were those donatilns, and whenever did she used or not her SoS position in order to get donations for non govt activities.
And the really poorly move she did by cleaning the server can only but increasing doubts regarding her willing to get transparent or not.

(6,568 posts)gets foreign money? WTF is there to wonder about? It's not a presidential campaign. It's a global initiative that takes all the donations it can to carry out INTERNATIONAL disaster relief, world health initiatives, promoting citizen service, et al.
Yawn. Another non-issue by the "concerned"...

(99,718 posts)I can see where some have a problem with where some of the donations are coming from but once you start discriminating on who and who can't donate you are on a slippery slope...
It's also ironic that the Pugs are making political hay of the fact that the CGI receives donations from Saudi Arabia while vigorously defending our alliance with them...It seems incongruous...

It'd be an entirely different scenario here at DU, that is for sure.

However, that turned out to not be the case.
"In response to questions from Reuters, officials at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and the foundation confirmed no complete list of donors to the Clintons' charities has been published since 2010," Reuters' Jonathan Allen reported. "CHAI was spun off as a separate legal entity that year, but the officials acknowledged it still remains subject to the same disclosure agreement as the foundation."
CHAI spokeswoman Maura Daley acknowledged her organization had made a mistake.
"Not doing so was an oversight, which we made up for this year," she told Reuters.
This revelation follows The Washington Post's February report that the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation broke the agreement with the White House to limit its foreign contributions. Instead, the foundation took a $500,000 gift from Algeria, which at the time was actively lobbying the State Department on human-rights issues.
According to Reuters, the CHAI "oversight" also raises new questions about whether the State Department was able to review foreign governments' donations to the organization, "which spends more than all of the other foundation initiatives put together." Numerous foreign governments reportedly donated tens of millions of dollars to CHAI while Clinton served as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.
Clinton aides and foundation officials have sought to downplay these developments...
