Florida GOPer Tries to Talk About Climate Change Without Saying Climate Change. Hilarity Ensues

http://reverbpress.com/politics/florida-goper-tries-talk-climate-change-without-saying-climate-change-hilarity-ensues/

As we reported earlier this month, Tea Party Governor of Florida, Rick Scott has banned state agencies from using the terms Climate Change and Global Warming in any official communications, emails or reports. The hope, it seems, is that if they don’t use the term it won’t come true.

Apparently, the ban on the term extends to public appearances as well. And so, when Bryan Koon, Florida’s Chief of Emergency Management went before the legislature on Thursday and spoke on the need for Federal funds to improve the system for emergency notifications in the event of floods, hurricanes and tornadoes Florida Democratic Senator Jeff Clemens had a bit of fun putting Koon on the spot, trying very hard to dance around the terms without actually saying them himself....

Someone asked Clemens “What were those words?” Clemens replied,

“I used ‘climate change, but I’m suggesting that maybe as a state, we use the term ‘atmospheric reemployment.’ That might be something that the governor could get behind.”
