He is at a 'Christian' institution advocating taking healthcare AWAY from people.

He lives in a twisted world, to be sure.

Because the pool of people I was sharing insurance with were all essentially at the healthiest point they'd ever be in their lives. And student insurance was also pretty darned cheap for the same reason. (And, btw, it's usually open to all students, no matter how old, which is how I was covered a few years back at age 42 or so when I was finishing another degree.)

Now as a young person who WASN'T in college, I would obviously have wanted to stay on the parents' policy.

back in the day...

I wasn't covered until my first job out of school.

I still have a 21 year old on my plan, and my 24 yr old just came off when she got married last year.

I was/am extremely grateful for this provision.

He was, after all, speaking at an institution where history and civics are considered to be blasphemous.

and saw a diploma from Liberty University hanging on the wall- would you let that Doctor treat you? You're surprised that a bunch of knucklehead kids who go to a school that favors religion over science can't figure out that Ted Cruz is a snake oil salesman?

I don't know whether I despise them or pity them more. It really must suck to be a bagger. What a miserable, hateful, wizened up life they must lead, hating everyone who isn't just like them.

in the first place, you can bet that they aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer. More along the lines of a stone hammer.
