Ted Cruz is the 2nd edition of Sarah Palin.

Yeah, he's male and hispanic, but the crap they propose, their views on the evils of government and the greatness of Jesus, are identical. He's just a lot smarter and a fuck of a lot more articulate than she is. I worry that he'll sell it better than she will.

Cruz has just set the tone and map for the republican primary. It was smart announcing this early. He's in need of greater name recognition and for the next several weeks, he'll have the spotlight right on him, as the only announced candidate of either party.

The puerile awful shit that he proposes in this flowery language is loved by the republican base. they swoon over the stuff- from guns to marriage to a flat tax to destroying "Obamacare".

An asshat but a force all the same. He will destroy everything and the GOP will have what they want. Maybe O'Malley or Warren can beat him but neither will have the money he does.

And he needs to be watched. Since the "election" of the very dim and drunk George Bush, I take even the most ridiculous GOP candidates seriously because there are a lot of people in this hot mess of a country who would be delighted to vote for them.
