I'd like to see men's shirts with keyhole necklines, and men's shirts with those half-height collars that go up maybe half an inch to an inch, are open at the front, and don't fold back down. I just don't see the point of full fold-over collars on polo type t-shirts that are never going to be worn with a tie.

When I googled caftan, most of the roomy dresses were what my mother called moomoo dresses in the late 70s and early 80s

Hawaii in the late 50s. She went back several times as she learned the moves to hula dances. It used to embarrass me but now I think it was lots of fun...

Pope and all that; it makes me think of the newly arrived African men wearing their kaftans and hard shoes and funny hats; it makes me think regressive and un-evolved.

And women wearing them, well, I suppose it means they couldn't find anything else to wear. No disrespect intended to either gender. Just my take on it.
