Jane Pauley today on "Sunday Morning"

I hope some of you caught "Sunday Morning" today. Jane Pauley was filling in as host. I thought she was wonderful, a breath of fresh air! I hope she does it again.

I always liked her.

3. I got to meet her in late 2008

She is as warm and lovely as she appears on the screen.

I was phone banking for Obama, and she showed up at the Dem. headquarters that night! She was visiting for another event and stopped in.

My only regret was that I didn't get a picture with her.

4. I am glad to hear Pauley is the real deal.

She always seemed a lot smarter than so many of the blond bobble heads (Andrea Mitchell comes to mind).

I think she has had some real struggles in the past and seems to be in a much better place now. That is good to see!

6. I just love CBS Sunday Morning

Always have. A comforting, enlightening weekend respite from the divisive and dumb. I loved Charles Kuralt. I love Charles Osgood. If Ms. Pauley were to become a permanent host, that would be lovely and appropriate.

7. Jane grew up a couple miles from me...

I would run into her every now and then, but didn't really know her well, as we went to different schools.
She was always pleasant and friendly, not to mention very intelligent.

She started her career at a local TV station, and became very popular. A breath of fresh air, indeed.

Fame didn't seem to change her.

8. I have staarted watching CBS morning news and have found it

very refreshing in the items covered. I've had enough of Today, GMA, and Morning Joke.
