Climate deniers not happy with Google's plan to rank sites acc'd to reliability

Google has been toying with a new algorithm that would rank search results according to the reliability of the information provided by websites. Denise Robins writes at Media Matters that some prominent climate change deniers are not exactly pleased with the news.

...that's because they know full well that fact have a liberal bias. To the degree that reliable facts start to bubble up to the surface, it will start filtering out the noise of opinion that has no basis in fact.

Gawd help us if we start making facts as easily accessible as opinions. Who's head will explode ???

Although, since most of the postings are grabbed from other sites, the admins could push to have people check the highest ranked sites first when looking for articles to OP here rather than grabbing articles from other, lower ranked sites.

And I would hope to hell that we've all got the informational discipline to do just that...feed the algorithm !
