The nattering of TV's instant analysis aside, here's one of my takeaways: two years from now we will look back and use this speech as one of the yardsticks for measuring the accomplishments of Obama's so-called lame-duck presidency.

(39,215 posts)my young niece told her mother that she wished her generation had a cause like we did. Well the cause is still there and this is their chance.
One thing a lame-duck president needs is backup from the people. I am old now but I will back him on almost everything he wants to do - my one issue that I will not is TPP.
