No prizes are offered, but I think you win the thread.

If I have not said this before (or even if I have) thank you for your service to our country.

A black man becoming President of the US. It yet remains to be seen if the American electorate can handle a woman.

That's when I finally relaxed because the second election couldn't be a fluke.

the fact we have Obama as our President still takes my breath away. He has the absolute right to talk today. He's what the original marchers fought for.

In a gulag for life without charging them with a crime or offering them a fair trial.
Both days were possible because of the day GWB was selected, Al Gore would have treated 9/11 as a crime, not an excuse to go to war.
I don't know what day it was when the CIA decided to train Bin Laden....

I wish I had not seen any of those days. And sadly with HRC we would continue the never ending wars. It makes too much money for corporations to do anything else.

The gist of their view seems to be that if it doesn't leave a permanent mark, it's not torture. My view is that if you are imposing physical discomfort to extract information, it's torture -- it's that simple.

The country after that day was not the country it was before that day. We just keep pretending we're still that country.

Sec State, Senator, FLOTUS, FLOAR. I don't agree with her on everything, but I think she'll make an excellent President.

Elizabeth Warren, who I don't think can get elected president, has done fine work fighting for fairer student loans and better banking policies. If she is the nominee, I will support her.

I never thought I would see the day when I could watch 2 of my gay friends get married and celebrate by smoking a joint. I never doubted we would have a black president in my lifetime (or a woman).
