In a new USC Dornsife-Los Angeles Times poll, Brown has zoomed in popularity. He is now the most popular politician on the state stage. Almost two-thirds of voters a cosmically high proportion approve of how he's doing his job. Almost six in 10 Californians have a positive view of him.
And Hillary Clinton would clock him in his home state were the two to meet in a run for the presidency

Let me preface my remarks by saying Jerry Brown has done a remarkable job as my governor but I am stunned by how far behind Hillary Clinton he is in his own state. When Hillary is easily beating a Democratic governor in the nation's most populous state that gives some indication of how hard it would be to defeat her in the primaries.

(16,864 posts)I was really let down when Clinton won the nomination. I think he would make a good President, but unfortunately he doesn't have the charisma that a lot of people fall for. He's another one who's getting up in age, too. I hope the Democratic Party is trying to recruit some younger people to get involved and run for office. It seems like there is a generation gap in our government. I really want to hear what the younger people have to say.

He's held just about every executive office in government, some of them more than once, so he's got all the knowledge just look at how he turned Cali around.
God! If he were just 10 years younger.

(51,076 posts)Looks to me like all a democratic candidate need do is point to California and remind people what republiCON leadership does and what Democratic leadership does and win hands down.
It wasn't Just Awwnold that got them there it was with a shitpot of 'CON help. Their policies suck for governing. Anyone with half a dozen brain cells should be able to figure that out.
