(27,509 posts)2. In India it's made of chicken
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Mac
In India, where the high Hindu population
means that beef is not common, the Big
Mac was renamed the Maharaja Mac and
was originally made with lamb instead of
beef; however, along with the company's
other items it is now made from
chicken. [12][13]

Even non-union jobs benefit where unions are (or were) strong.

Although I'm sure the WSJ editors' response was: "Why can't we be more like India?"

(14,549 posts)6. 25 minutes ? Should be 46 minutes.
At minimum wage a worker is making 12 cents per minute so in 25 minutes they have made a pre-tax $3. After taxes the $3 is around $2.40 (varies by state) and then there is tax on the Big Mac so unless the price of a Big Mac is $2.25 or less this graph is wrong.
This handy Big Mac index shows the price of Big Mac around the globe:
http://www.oanda.com/currency/big-mac-index
and it shows the US average to be $4.07 plus tax, so $4.40, therefore a US worker has to work 46 minutes to buy it.

equally high across the entire spectrum of nations.
