Why the Health Field is Changing its Stance on Marijuana

The U.S. Surgeon General isn't the only prominent health professional coming out in favor of marijuana. Two major health organizations released updated policies on marijuana recently.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Public Health Association (APHA) have both re-examined the status quo and determined that there is a better way.

I believe a big part of the recent (last few decades, actually) rise in police violence comes from attracting the wrong personality types. I fear too many people join police who have a Zimmermann type personality, who seem to look for confrontation and the opportunity to do violence, and they are being covered for by police admins and the unions.

8. Eric Holder once said mj destroys lives

I dont have the article but he said MJ should be illegal because he has seen so many peoples lives destroyed by it.

Yet he is the one enforcing the law that is the true destroyer of lives. The lives destroyed by mj are the people who have been arrested lost their job and gone to jail or prison all for peacefully using a plant.

Well good bye EH. Hopefully your replacement will have some compassion and not be a freedom hater like you.

I smoked the weed for 45 plus years and it never once caused me to do anything and I mean anything stupid, cruel or crazy. Its a pretty benign way to kick back and enjoy oneself. IMO

Recently I was installing new back splash in our kitchen and after the first day that evening as we were eating supper I said to my wife maybe if I was to get high this would be easier for me as everything I know how to do today I learned while high on pot, we laughed.

The backsplash I put up is the kind that looks like stamped metal and it is awesome. I've gotten more good comments from it than about anything else I've done to our home. Which is pretty much everything. I am a craftsman and when I do a job if it isn't as perfect as humanly possible it doesn't get done, simple as that.

but I'm sure a toke helped you deal with the aches and pains associated with such projects, too.

Our drug policies are probably the biggest current fail in government, at least in domestic issues.

6. Perhaps because they've spent the last 3 decades treating disorders with drugs?

It always seemed ridiculous that they develop every kind of anti-anxiety medicine you can think of, with long lists of horrible side effects, and prescribe them at the drop of a hat. But then if you mellow out on a bit of homegrown, its social ostracism and prison time.

now that there have been years of more open dialog about medical cannabis use with physicians many of them are learning the benefits first hand.
