Posted without much comment: Pro-Life Groups Blame Abortion, Medical Research, Vaccine Makers For Measles

http://www.business2community.com/health-wellness/pro-life-groups-blame-abortion-medical-research-vaccine-makers-measles-outbreak-01144243

The Disneyland measles outbreak has grown exponentially and is spreading across the country, and finger-pointing is almost as viral. Called out for their role in the spread, anti-vaxxers have blamed immigrants and vaccine supporters. Now, two pro-life groups claim that the fault lies with Merck, the company that manufactures the MMR vaccine. Also included in their blame are the medical research behind the Rubella vaccine, and abortions that took place in 1964-1965.

They say that because Merck won’t make a measles-and-mumps vaccine without the Rubella vaccine included, and because the Rubella vaccine was developed on strains obtained from aborted fetuses, many people have no choice but to abstain from the MMR vaccine. They say that these objectors have no objections to the vaccines for measles and mumps, and that if Merck would just offer these separately, the children these pro-life groups represent could be saved.

Go get 'em, guys.

By branching out it does appear their many delusions are as viral as measles.

If we could be absolutely certain the anti-vaxxers wouldn't affect anyone else, I'd be all "fine. You want to bury your kids because they died of a disease you can prevent your kid even getting for the cost of five bucks and a sore arm? Be my guest."

The problem is, it's usually never their kid that dies. It's always someone else's kid - a kid who was medically disqualified from taking the shot, or was too young, or who got the shot too recently to have immunity. And that, dear DU, is completely unacceptable.

Maybe we should start charging the parents of these little disease vectors with negligent homicide if their un-immunized kid kills someone else's kid, and we can trace the disease back to him.

It's not just the US, it is also Canada and the Netherlands that get these outbreaks. Polio has hit both of those countries along with measles, mumps and other diseases because of Protestant religious communities. Long before the British doctor or the 'new agers' this has been a big problem.
