Republicans have crossed the Rubicon...

In 49 BC, Julius Caesar marched his army across the Rubicon River, in an act of insurrection against the state of Italy. It was a point from which there was no turning back.

Today's Republican Party has crossed a similar Rubicon with their aggression against the interests of the American people. There is no turning back for them either. Mitt Romney cannot take them back across the river. Their "die has been cast".

They have declared war upon teachers and public education. They have declared war upon all unions in this country. They have vowed to do away with Medicare and Social Security. They want to repeal the Affordable Care Act which they call "Obamacare". They have declared war against the US Postal Service. They have declared war against higher education.

Neither Mitt Romney or any other leader can save them from themselves. Their armies of Tea Party patriots and right-wing ideaologues have taken over their Party. There is no turning back. They are left with only two choices: victory or death.

1. The problem is that half the country doesn't get it.

Half the people in this country don't understand this. All they understand is that a bunch of "Libruls" spend "their" money on "lazy" people.

It is sad how they have been scammed.

the Right Wing has worked ina conerted effort for over 30 years...it is so much easier to have someone tellyou what to believe than form your own opinion based on personal experience, belief and facts.
hell, most people against "Obama Care" like the provisions that have kicked in when described not as Obama Care, but as what theyare, improvements in a corrupt system...

9. I think they are in panic mode

They see my generation (Millennial) not embracing their ideology at all. So, they try to do as much as they can now, but I think it is futile. When my generation comes into power in the next ten years, we will undo most of their damage. More importantly put in progressive values of smart energy, transportation, etc.

The groundwork is there already, but the will to do it is all that is needed. There is one thing I can clearly state about the Obama administration and that is their forward thinking, or long term approach. The administration is setting up the groundwork for greater things even if they don't accomplish all their goals for four more years.
