So, the moron who called Birmingham a "no-go zone" for non muslims is on the BBC apologizing

for his bullshit comments. He blames it on sloppy un-vetted research, but refuses to point out where said "research" sources came from.

He is offended that the BBC host is calling his comments fear mongering and borderline bigotted.

Sorry, no link to the interview.

The sort of twerps who believe this tripe send to be staunch supporters of far right parties such as the BNP, English Democrats and of course UKIP.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Faux news "expert" speaking at UKIP events (outside the West Midlands of course) sometime soon.

32. Nigel Farage: no-go zones for non-Muslims in most French cities
Tue Jan 13, 2015, 01:56 PM
Jan 2015
There are no-go zones for non-Muslims in most big French cities, the Ukip leader Nigel Farage has told Fox News in remarks that echo previous comments on the channel claiming the whole of Birmingham was off-limits to non-Muslims.

Farage accused European authorities of showing moral cowardice in failing to tackle the problems associated with multiculturalism.

He claimed that big ghettos had been allowed to develop, and the authorities in the UK and elsewhere were turning a blind eye to issues including the sexual exploitation scandals in Rotherham and Rochdale, female genital mutilation and the application of sharia law.

The comments come after Farage blamed a “fifth column” of Islamic extremists in Europe for terror atrocities, including the Paris attacks and vowed to “be more courageous in standing up for our Judeo-Christian culture”.

http://eveningharold.com/2015/01/16/britain-first-convinced-al-murray-is-a-muslim/

Far-right Facebook memers Britain First have called upon their members in South Thanet to vote for Nigel Farage and not “that muslim fella, al-Murray”.

“First Al-Qaeda, then al-Zawahiri, and now al-Murray, they’re taking the piss” Britain First’s chief bigot Paul Goulding said.

“I’ve seen pictures of him with what seems to be some sort of evil muslim juice in a great British pint glass. That’s worse than depicting a prophet.

“He’s already taken over a pub and changed the menu so they only serve Halal crisps, Halal peanuts, and Halal pork scratchings, let’s not let him take over parliament as well. Parliament is no place for those that want to bomb people.”

It puts out trash like this:

A Muslim group in the United Kingdom has launched a campaign to turn twelve British cities – including what it calls "Londonistan" – into independent Islamic states. The so-called Islamic Emirates would function as autonomous enclaves ruled by Islamic Sharia law and operate entirely outside British jurisprudence.

The Islamic Emirates Project, launched by the Muslims Against the Crusades group, names the British cities of Birmingham, Bradford, Derby, Dewsbury, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Sheffield, as well as Waltham Forest in northeast London and Tower Hamlets in East London as territories to be targeted for blanket Sharia rule.

http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/2278/britain-islamic-emirates-project

And, by the same author, "The Islamization of Britain in 2014". Some on the far right are claiming Bolton is a 'serious' presidential candidate, and it would be embarrassing for them if it turned out it was his 'think' tank that gave Emerson the idea.

As somebody said upthread, we have plenty our own misinformed, lying, and malicious bigots in the UK, but as when Romney got laughed out of the country in the last election, we generally don't take kindly to furriners - especially wingnut Americans - lecturing us about what's going on in our own country and stirring up shit.

They want to fear-monger and outright lie because it pushes a narrative. This is the American news media these days. They get a narrative they want to be true, and will make it so, facts be damned.

Even in his subsequent "apology" interviews, he's been allowed to spout more uniformed lies in much the same vein. It's all publicity as far as he's concerned.

We can try to ignore him, but so far, he's not going away, though his regular paid gigs have been getting fewer and fewer.

The ridicule in response obviously hurts, though.

When I heard a replay of his comments I was a little surprised to hear him say Birmingham is all Muslim. Birmingham is a huge diverse city!

According to Wikipedia, Birmingham, with a population over one million, is technically the largest city in England (Wikipedia says London isn't technically a city). They say FAUX viewers are people who never travel or have any interest in other countries. Sadly, they would not know any better than to accept this guy's comments as true. Surely, anyone familiar with Europe, as this "expert" claims, would know that Birmingham is a very diverse city and not all Muslim.

What the FAUX?
