(45,251 posts)However, that was not the House of Reps, so the court treated them as ordinary citizens, which meant they had no standing to sue.
The Constitution does require a vote of Congress for war, but suing the President over Obamacare, which Congress passed, is ridiculous.
ETA: Okay, a link does help. (Imagine that!) Turns out they are suing him over allegedly unilateral action.

It plays to their base, which appears to be extremely effective. After all, they showed up for the mid-terms and we didn't. Maybe the DNCC could take notes.
