For at least a few hours on Saturday, San Francisco wont be nearly as liberal as usual: A major Tea Party demonstration is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday in Justin Herman Plaza.
Tax Day (or Tax Day Eve) is a national holiday of sorts for the TP crew, and certainly not a celebratory one. Saturday will be the first time that over 10 Bay Area groups are collaborating to put on one event in SF, Tea Party organizer Sally Zelikovsky tells us. Special guests include KSFOs own Melanie Morgan and guests are encouraged to wave their NOBAMA 2012 finger waggers an homage to Republican Arizona Gov. Jan Brewers finger-waving tarmac confrontation with the president.
Why come to San Francisco? As the online flyer says:
San Francisco is symbolic: the cradle for progressivism in America.
Never intimidated We penetrate Occupy encampments, Plan Bay Area, City Council meetings or the State Legislature to expose the Truth and stand up for our Rights.

(53,339 posts)Sounds like they're looking for somebody to wag their finger waggers at. (I'm surprised that they couldn't find a venue in the Castro to protest marriage equality. )
If you really want to be there, the teabagger site offers a helpful map and driving directions.
