St. Louis County officer suspended over video, Glendale officer suspended for Facebook comments

Two St. Louis-area police officers have been suspended by their departments, as the unrest in Ferguson keeps intense scrutiny on the personal conduct of law enforcement officials.

A St. Louis County officer who had been assigned to the streets of Ferguson has been suspended after a Youtube video of him making incendiary comments surfaced.

A Glendale officer was also suspended Friday after comments he posted to Facebook.

St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said officer Dan Page, a 35-year veteran of the department, has been suspended pending a review by the internal affairs unit. The video was brought to Belmar’s attention by CNN reporter Don Lemon, who had previously brought Page to the department’s attention after complaining Page shoved him.

Detectives' Division), Page (of the Glendale PD) and the St. Louis County SWAT officer (whose name escapes me at the moment). But the arch villain, Darren Wilson, remains on the lam.

in all this, would be the removal of at least a few of these folks who appear to hold some bigotry in their hearts.

The cop grabbed a photo of an accused killer from Oregon named Jodah Cain and posted it on Facebook as a photo of Michael Brown.

Here's the Jodah Cain photo from Cain's Facebook page:

And here's what the Kansas City cop, Marc Catron, posted on Facebook:

The KC Police Department took notice, and officer Catron is now in hot water:

The police department told KCTV it is investigating whether the officer violated department policies regarding social media, which state department employees are allowed to express their opinions as individuals, but should not post materials that “ridicule, malign, disparage or otherwise express bias any race, any religion or other protected class of individuals.”

KCTV broke the story with its report:
