A bunch of people were trying to crash the gates and rather than just let them in (as everyone, including performers, were chanting "let them in, let them in&quot , the cops decided to throw the gas, which, of course, wafted over the whole place, including those of us who had paid. A lot of people ran down on the field and prostrated themselves on the ground. Chaos ensued. Shortly after, the wind shifted, blowing the gas back out onto the cops, the full moon came up, and Creedence Clearwater came out singing "Bad Moon Rising." It was epic. (Not too pleasant when coming on to the psychedelics, however. )
