Daily Show host Jon Stewart literally scoffed at Republicans on Thursday over their continued willingness to commit U.S. financing toward military situations around the globe while complaining about any spending on domestic programs.
Im really worried about the Republicans, Stewart said. Their inability to wean themselves off of military intervention. They have a culture of defendency, if you will. And I believe its turned them all into warfare queens. And I think we need to cut them off for their own good.
To illustrate his point, Stewart showed clips of GOP legislators like Roy Blunt, Louie Gohmert and others calling for the country to devote resources toward creating democracy in other countries, only to turn around and say hell no to bills covering jobs, veterans benefits and unemployment benefits in the U.S.

I really can only laugh about the absurdity of it all now.

They do have some shows were you can tell they are a bit punchy.
But, most often than not, they super sharp and poignant in how they expose and poke at the absurdity.
