(82,849 posts)The company that brought all this death and destruction or your lying eyes? Get with the program. It's all back to normal, and normal is whatever BP says is normal, or you're denying them their free speech rights.

(30,058 posts)The problem is not solved, BP should be putting the money into helping clean up and restore the gulf coast rather than advertising how something which just isn't true.

(2,672 posts)of policing themselves during the Gulf Coast cleanup and it hired thugs to patrol and run people off who were photographing the scene. They even had a no-fly zone over the affected areas.
What really pissed me off though, was when Obama staged a photo-op swimming in the gulf of Florida and declaring that the Gulf Coast water was safe.

(50,983 posts)Despite all their propaganda to the contrary, most people do not think of BP as a benevolent entity. More like a malevolent entity. And rightly so.

(5,815 posts)at Ft. Pickens on Santa Rosa Island (near Pensacola, FL). This, after we have been told repeatedly that the oil is "all gone" and everything is fine, back to normal. Yet, they continue to find these tar mats and tar balls that wash up pretty regularly. Testing will be done on this tar mat to determine if it's from the April 2010 accident but I have no doubt what the tests will show. It is disgusting to keep telling us that it's all fine and dandy when we know for a fact that clean up crews are out there pretty regularly to hastily scoop up the tar so that the beaches appear to be clean.
And as if their lies are not insult enough, now they are running those despicable commercials boasting that when BP works in Alaska, they put people to work all over the US. Yeah, they do. Cleaning up oil spills and their aftermath, like tar mats and tar balls.

(4,940 posts)C'mon up - they do whatever the FUCK they want. Period. And it won't change till we make it change! A great, wonderful friend lives in your area - and is begging for help. I hope you get it and not the way they did here! I despise Big Oil!! (Yeah, you can watch me cleaning ducks, otters, seals......... that is NOT what I want for a legacy - in 1989......)

(2,682 posts)I will NEVER eat anything that came out of the Gulf. The oil tar is layered on the bottom of the Gulf and the water has been treated with millions of gallons of Corexit which is outlawed in Europe as a carcinogen. The liars don't care what happens to your insides -- by the time you get cancer, they will demand proof it was from the spill and good luck with that. Best to avoid anything coming from the Gulf area.
