EPA Employees Told to Stop Pooping in the Hallway

Last edited Thu Jun 26, 2014, 12:17 AM - Edit history (1)

Sorry to dump this on you...

Management for Region 8 in Denver, Colo., wrote an email earlier this year to all staff in the area pleading with them to stop inappropriate bathroom behavior, including defecating in the hallway.

In the email, obtained by Government Executive, Deputy Regional Administrator Howard Cantor mentioned “several incidents” in the building, including clogging the toilets with paper towels and “an individual placing feces in the hallway” outside the restroom.

Confounded by what to make of this occurrence, EPA management “consulted” with workplace violence “national expert” John Nicoletti, who said that hallway feces is in fact a health and safety risk. He added the behavior was “very dangerous” and the individuals responsible would “probably escalate” their actions.

Who are they hiring at the EPA??? I've been in HR for many years and I can tell you, even with all I've seen, I've never encountered anything like this.

As many here know I work in VOIP...I have worked for telcos many many years...

Our latest Office complex was situated INSIDE a major metropolitan airport in a locked down "secured" facility...its so nice that Homeland Security and FEMA thought they deserved the facility more than a major telco, and of course whatever they want...they get...

Needless to say we shared the facility until we could move our data center somewhere else so there was a big influx of new people with clearance badges that could access our underground corridors...

Many of these piss ant punks decided our bathrooms were the place to....go...rather than the ground level or the 5 floors above....

one new 18-19 year old security analyst with Homeland was truly what you would call disturbed...

He was known/unknown as the mad shitter until finally caught by another security analyst...

He used to bend over 90 degrees or more and defecate throughout the back of the stall and as high as 6 feet high against the back wall...

Even more insane he would defecate in the toilet but there would NEVER be any indication of paper use...

He then progressed to splattering the mirrors and walls...in what I can only describe as mexican food jackson pollocks...

Now from all outward appearences he seemed like a normal if a bit introverted individual as most computer oriented young men I have met in this business are...

Inwardly though this guy was a total fucking nut case and thought it was his right to do whatever he felt like...many others in Homeland and the FEMA offices seem to think the issue was no big deal???

Once caught and in hand cuffs it was like a scene from Jekyll and hyde...one minute sad tearful and remorseful the next screaming and spouting he was irreplaceable and they must release him at once...

Thankfully we moved out a few weeks later after enduring months of this madness...

If anybody ever tells you Homeland hires the best and brightest....remember my experience...

Many are fucking juvenile, freaking nuts to boot and the worst of the worst.

I've dealt with employees who had breakdowns or weren't taking their meds or had anger management issues. Never in all these years did I have to deal with that. It is very disturbing.

What a horrible experience and you must have been so thrilled to finally escape.

"don't poop in the hallway" is one of them.
